Christmas 2007

We had a good Christmas. The kids were really excited to open presents. Tyler and Emily got up at 7 am (we told them not to get up any earlier). Kevin woke up after 8 am. Tyler got a DS game, chair, backpack, sleepingbag, clothes and other stuff. Emily got Hannah Montana stuff, books, chair, High School Musical DVD, clothes and a bunch of other stuff. Kevin got clothes, trucks, a DVD and loved ripping open presents. Rick got books and tools for working on our old Chevelle (pictures coming soon.) and I got a new lens (Canon 50 mm/1.8) for my camera and 4 telephones. Our other phones are at least 12 years old and the buttons were starting to stick, these are great. It was really fun.

Skiing

Carrie's brother Jason got married in the Salt Lake Temple, so their family stayed with us. The wedding was beautiful. We had so much fun with them. One day we (minus Stacy and Kevin) went skiing at Brighton. The kids went through ski school then spent the rest of the day on the bunny hill. They all did good, especially Tyler & Emily, it was their first time.

Christmas Programs

Both kids had programs this week. They have practiced real hard and both did real good. Emily's was with her dance group. They danced to "White Christmas."

Tyler's program was with his 5th grade class. Their program was "Music Through the Ages." He is dressed for the 1920s.

First Snow

We got our first snow storm on Saturday the 1st. So we bundled up and shovled, had a snowball fight and went sleding.

Festival of Trees

We went to the Festival of Trees. We saw so many, I can't believe how creative people are. Here are some of our favorties. Tyler loved the Raiders tree and I loved the the Star Wars Tree. There were so many that it was hard to choose just one favorite.

After we ate dinner at the Mayan Resturant. Way cool place. They have people who walk around like the Mayans and there is a pool where the Mayans dive into.

This is our own festival of tree. We put our small tree on the table in hope that Kevin won't destroy it. So far so good.
